Does Billing Address Matter? Yes, it matters what billing address you enter, because this is the way a merchant can verify that your payment method is being used legitimately.

I have not had this issue before? There are a number of reasons why you have not had a billing information issue before:
- Did you recently more and your billing address is not update?
- You frequently use Klarna, Zip, Afterpay, Apple Pay, ShopPay, PayPal, Amazon Pay, Google Pay or such when checking out. When using these payment methods you have created a secure account with a credit card or bank account with the individual pay app. The individual pay app company is providing you a secure transaction along with the merchant. The merchant does not see your credit card or account information because the Pay App is processing the transaction and guaranteeing it. Therefore when you created your account you most likely set up your correct billing information and just have not been asked for again because your account is in good standing. When you check out with the pay app you are usually sent a code or have to log into your account prior to checkout.
